Common Wealth Credit Union offers 21 scholarships valued at $1000 each to members of all CWCU branches. Applicants must be registered in a Canadian, post-secondary institution and enrolled in full-time studies for the following year and must be currently attending either Grade 12 or their first year of post-secondary education. Students must submit a completed application form, a recent transcript of their grades, their proof of acceptance or continuing education at another institution and a list of activities with references attached. Either the applicant or his/her immediate family must be a member of Common Wealth Credit Union. Immediate family is defined as a parent, brother, sister or grandparent. Emil Lychak Scholarship (Lloydminster Exclusive)
As a member of the Board of Directors, Emil Lychak helped to make Common Wealth Credit Union successful while giving back to its members and communities. In honour of Emil Lychak, CWCU has established an annual scholarship for $1000 that is given to one student who possesses great leadership qualities and an exceptional commitment to their community. The applicant must have graduated from Lloydminster Comprehensive High School, Holy Rosary High School or the Lloydminster & Area Homeschool Association with a full-time student status.
